Public Programs

look at Seoul again, feel it, talk it out and draw it
We have organized various workshops, talks, and events to have a time to look at the cityscape and the rise of buildings in Seoul. Join us with creators, designers, and architects around the world on the journey of drawing the future of Seoul with your senses.

※ Outdoor public programs will be canceled if, two days prior to the scheduled date, the weather forecast indicates rainfall exceeding 100mm or wind speeds of more than 8 meters per second.

      Discover the feelings and stories that architecture evokes, ask yourself reflective questions, and step closer to the meaning of each work. This hands-on workshop invites everyone to sense, observe, and express the city and architecture through their own sensibilities. Planned by Thomas Heatherwick Studio with ArchiEdu, it consists of two modules:

      Emotion Expedition - Combine miniatures of the 24 Walls of Public Life to make your own keyring.

      A Facade for Feelings - See one half of a building and imagine/draw the other half.

      Capacity: 42 per session. Two sessions on weekdays; three on weekends/holidays.

    • The Wall of Emotions 공공서비스예약
      A Humanise Wall created by citizens ― Seoul asks, and its people respond.This participatory program records and collects citizens’ diverse emotions and intuitions about the city and architecture.
      Through a variety of questions, participants are free to share their own thoughts and feelings. Together, these responses form a monumental “Wall of Emotions,” visually expressing citizens’ voices on how they perceive the city and its architecture.
      *You can participate this program on site (No reservation needed) and each week, a small number of participants will be randomly selected to receive a gift voucher.

      Led by Biennale Artistic Director Thomas Heatherwick, this English-only workshop (no on-site interpretation) offers an original architectural experience that invites new ways of seeing everyday urban life. Centered on emotion and intuition, participants freely imagine facades at a human scale and express creative ideas.
